I’m starting the food blog (again)! Already so behind! This was during my 2nd arrival in Beijing and a family friend took us to a Beijing restaurant with German roots? Really kind of strange actually. They really do just eat a lot of meat, sauerkraut and beer! Like, the table ordered 88 beers at least. It was kind of crazy….and they come on yard long pieces of wood and are served completely cold.
They just ordered 2 of every dish on the menu and we all shared it and the best tasting was probably the lamb chop. THe doughnut was fried in too thick of batter so it was the same batter on the onion rings only there was apple in the middle. It was really popular with the expats and it was pretty good. Just a whole lot of smoking.
