My Last Week in Cleveland
So after all of that food from all of the previous posts, this is all the food from my last week in Cleveland. All the interns left and it was just me and the rest of the U.Chicago kids.
The first, is a Poblano dish I had, with garlic fries from Zocalo with Meg and Chris. We went to see 30 Minutes or Less afterwards but the fries were so good.
My first shot :D jk jk, it is just a cheese cake shot from the Hard Rock Cafe and it was amazing. The graham cracker crust on the bottom and the strawberry cheese cake blend on top was perfect and it was really cute as well.
Then, lobster ravioli at Mallorca with Myron. Reed said I sounded so pretentious when I said I had “lobster ravioli,” but it was really delicious. It had this creamy white sauce and each ravioli was stuffed with lobster, so it wasn’t just eating square noodles like some ravioli is like.
Lemon Squares with freshly squeezed lemon juice! Made these with my SOTC host’s daughter and they were gooey and just sweet enough. THe fresh lemon juice makes it perfect and makes all the difference.
Then we went to BD’s Mongolian Grill. The stir fry itself was eh….it could have been more flavorful. But OMG OMG OMG, the mud pie that Reed and I split. It was expresso ice cream with oreos mixed in and with a oreo crust and chocolate drizzle. missing it already….
So, now a small rant. Last night in Cleveland, I ordered Chinese food. What was really funny, was that I ordered General Tso’s chicken and it was delivered to me by a white guy and the restaurant was called like Panda Kong or something. Needless to say, it was time to get home. Taste wise, it wasn’t bad and there was so much food (the picture is just 1/3 of the food they gave me). The cats tried to get some, so is that a good indication?
